Lifetime Achievement Awards (from LAA 2022)

Lifetime Achievement Awards recognize contributions of individuals with extraordinary long-term involvement and service over the whole of a career, rather than or in addition to single contributions. The RP Group awards a Lifetime Achievement Award to members of the California Community College Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness (IRPE) community who have made significant contributions to the field.

2022 Award Nominations

The call for nominations for a 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award is now open! Nominations must be submitted through our nomination form by January 19, 2022 to be considered for a 2022 award. Anyone may nominate another person who meets the criteria outlined below. No one may self-nominate.

Criteria

To be considered for the lifetime achievement award, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Have worked in a California community college/district, the Chancellor’s Office, and/or RP Group for at least 10 years

  • Are nearing retirement or retired within the past five years

  • Have recognized contributions to IRPE leadership, equity, research, planning, policy, or institutional effectiveness that have led to a significant impact in the California Community Colleges

Ways this significant impact in the California Community Colleges may be demonstrated include:

  • Programs/projects: The individual contributed significantly to the development of a program, project, or product that has been widely recognized, adopted, or influential in the community.

  • Policy: The individual contributed significantly to policies that led to improvements in learning, student achievement, or increased equity within the California Community Colleges.

  • Service/Leadership: The individual contributed significantly to the advancement of the RP Group mission, such as through leadership on the Board, mentorship and development of IRPE professionals beyond their college or office, service on statewide committees, or in other broad capacities.

  • nominee's name,

  • current contact information,

  • a curriculum vitae (CV) or another list of positions and organizations served, and
